A Bangkok Temple

Thailand is over 92% Buddhist and 5% Muslim, so there is very little Christian influence.

Consitutionally, the country is open to other religions but for many of the Thai people religion and nationality are strongly bound by sociological and family ties; this makes is very difficult for a Thai to break away to learn about Christianity without compromising their nationality.

There are over 1,500 missionaries active in Thailand from many different countries, and although the church there has hardly grown at all for many years, it does now seem to be growing very slowly.
