The Lord’s Supper has been given to the churches by Christ as a visible sign of the gospel. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice offered once for all and involves no change in the bread and wine. All its blessings are received by faith.

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes

Acts 2:42,46 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts

Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread
