A Gift from God

Even though God sees us in this way, he has provided a way for us to get into a relationship with him.

It's easy to accept this one, because it's a free gift that we simply need to receive.

The Bible again (in Romans chapter 6): ...the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

You want eternal life? In a place where "there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away"?

Do you feel the agony of having offended God by your failings and sins against him?

Are your sins a burden to you? Jesus said: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

His invitation is freely offered. No strings. No conditions.

In asking for forgiveness from him, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans chapter 10). The punishment that God has reserved for your sins can be counted as fully paid by Christ's death: He did not deserve to be punished, but took the punishment of others on himself.

Is there another way? No: Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts chapter 4).

First, you had to accept that you're a sinner who needs saving.
Second, you must accept this free gift: forgiveness for your sins through the death of Jesus on the cross, and new life brought by Jesus' resurrection from the dead and ascension to the throne of heaven itself.

John 14:6

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me"
