Baptisms

Sunday 26 February witnessed four baptisms at Hoylake Evangelical Church. Before being baptised, Amina, Karen, Sam and Sharon each gave clear testimonies of what God had done in their lives. All four were then baptised, declaring their desire to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Summer Camp 2011 was amazing!

Summer Camp 2011 at Quinta Hall near Oswestry was amazing!

With activities including Camp Olympics, ice skating, mountain biking, shopping, low ropes, climbing wall traversing, go-karting and more (not to mention the unforgettable "Camp's Got Talent"), everyone had a brilliant time.

Bible teaching was led by Ray Trainer for the juniors and Darren Jones for the seniors, preceded by a joint time of songs and games. Parents and Campers are always welcome to ask us about any aspect of the Bible teaching that takes place at Summer Camp!

Lots of photos were taken and there's a selection now on Facebook (you don't need a Facebook account to see them) - just click here.

You'll have to wait until the Camp Video Night on 30th September for the video (this replaces the usual January meeting).

Fellowship Lunch 17th April

Every year Wirral's Egg Run means that we're all stuck in Hoylake after our morning service as thousands of motorbikes take up all the road space!

For the past few years we've solved this by having a Fellowship Lunch at the church!

This year's jacket potatoes with chilli, tuna mayo and/or cheese went down a treat, and with sticky toffee pudding for afters, no-one was disappointed.

Reunion Sat 9th

On Saturday 9th April, we held an informal reunion evening at the church for old and new friends.

Invitations were posted high and low to many friends who have moved on to pastures new, and it was lovely to refresh some friendships. Many people hadn't caught up for decades, so there was a lot of tea, coffee, cake and chatting going on.

Thank you to everyone for making the effort to travel.

WE'RE MOVING (sort of)!

For the past few years we've been trying to work out how to cope with our church growth!

Anyone visiting our Sunday morning services will have seen just how packed-out we've become - a really exciting "problem" for any church.

How to cope? Extend our building? Split in two? Relocate?

From 8th May we'll be relocating to Hoylake Community Centre. We're really excited about the opportunity - why not join us?

So, from May 8th, our 10:30am service will be at the Hoylake Community Centre!
