Other helpful ideas

- Pray regularly and specifically for others (say, commit to pray particularly for 3 or 4 folks regularly)

- Arrange to meet socially

- When you meet, talk about the Lord

- Tell someone what the Lord has been teaching you from his Word

- When you meet, make a point of praying together

- Listen to others

- Avoid critical conversation about others

- Show interest in the good things that are happening to others

- Offer practical help to someone who needs it

- If you can't meet a need, tell someone who can

- Look out for other people who may be struggling, and show concern

- Take a genuine interest in someone who is lonely

- Try to develop a few close relationships, rather than many superficial ones

It works both ways. Is pride preventing you from accepting help from others?

Don't take on tasks you are not suited to
Don't become overcommitted
Don't place yourself in the way of temptation
Don't take advantage of others
