God has revealed himself in the Bible, which consists of the Old and New Testaments alone. Every word was inspired by God through human authors, so that the Bible as originally given is in its entirety the Word of God, without error and fully reliable in fact and doctrine. The Bible alone speaks with final authority and is always sufficient for all matters of belief and practice.

Hebrews 1:1 God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself Psalm 119:160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness2 Peter 1:20-21 20Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 2:13 ...not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit 2 Peter 1:16-18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain 1 John 1:1-3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is flawless Jeremiah 1:9 Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth...” 1 Thessalonians 2:13 when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God Deuteronomy 4:2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it Proverbs 30:5-6 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book |
